Eight years of transformational expeditions at sea, now ready to become cinema.
We are raising R$132,000 (approx. EUR 23,850) to turn eight years of voyages into the first cinematic chapter of Piratas do Amor and document the inaugural voyage of our canoe fleet in Bahia, Brazil.

The moment we live in
We live in a time of growing disconnection: from nature, from one another, and often from ourselves.
At the same time, people are hungrier than ever for what cannot be downloaded: real experience, real community and real nature.
Piratas do Amor takes the old pirate impulse to live by another code and turns it toward love.

What Piratas do Amor is
A movement that takes the sea as its teacher and the boat as the smallest classroom in the world.
For eight years, we have taken people on sailing expeditions across the Atlantic, through the Arctic and along the coast of Brazil. There, they stand watch, cook over fire, read the wind and depend on one another.
Aboard, we practice a simple code: choose love over fear, show up, break the pattern, believe in miracles, stay humble.
People step aboard as strangers. They step ashore as crew, carrying a different way of living back to land.

Eight years at sea

Why now
Eight years of photographs, films and stories exist from our voyages around the world. They sit scattered across hard drives, never gathered, never told as one story.
After years aboard larger vessels, we returned to the essence with two open canoes: Pira Veve and Teko Porã. Together, they form Flotita Bonita, our small expedition fleet in Bahia, where nothing separates the crew from the wind, the water or one another.
In January 2027, for the first time, the two canoes sail together: ten days circumnavigating the island of Boipeba, Bahia.
The material is ready. The team is ready. What's missing is the funding to bring it all together.

Beyond lifestyle storytelling
We are not making films simply to show how beautiful our lives are.
We want to develop a cinematic language for transformative experiences: stories that do not sell escape, but inspire people to reconnect with nature, with one another and with themselves.
Through real people, uncertainty and the force of the natural world, we want to make inner change visible and contribute to a cultural response to the fear and disconnection of our time.

Any funds raised beyond the target will remain dedicated to the audiovisual work of Piratas do Amor, strengthening the first films and helping open the chapters that follow.
If we do not reach the full target, we will adapt the scope to the funds available, prioritising the Living Archive and the first films while continuing to seek the remaining support.
